Moms Connect
St. John Lutheran Church invites all area moms to their parent support group on Fridays, beginning September 14, 2018.

Moms Connect, a group for mothers of preschoolers, will begin a new year on September 14, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church located at 7214 South Cass Avenue in Darien, IL. The group meets each Friday through May from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on weeks when the church’s preschool is in session.
The group is facilitated by Deaconess Phaedra Serbus, a wife, mother and Director of Youth & Family Ministry. It is open to community moms as well as those associated with the church and its preschool. Complimentary child care is provided. The group allows local moms to network with each other while gaining parenting support, encouragement and equipping from God’s Word that enables them to nurture healthy family dynamics.
Initial discussion will focus on the book, 8 Simple Tools for Raising Great Kids, by Dr. Todd Cartmell. Using examples from his home and 20 years of professional practice, the author outlines the essential nuts and bolts for effective parenting in which your relationship will be built on love and trust, providing you with fertile ground for planting God’s wisdom in your child's heart and, ultimately, seeing your child flourish.
