Obituary: Andrew Goldbranson, 19

Andrew Michael Goldbranson, age 19. Loving son of Gloria and the late Eric Goldbranson.
Cherished brother of Megan and the late Matthew Goldbranson.

Andrew attended Webster University Conservatory of Theatre Arts where he was following his passion for acting and musical theatre. He shared his talent recently in the BAM Theatre production of “Legally Blonde” as Emmett. During his high school career at Hinsdale South, Andrew was very active in the Fine Arts and Drama community. He had a knack for learning to play any instrument he picked up. He shared his instrumental, vocal and acting talent through his performances with Marching Band, Jazz Band, and Symphonic Band; A Capella and Madrigal Choirs; Improv Groups and Speech Team. He and his friends started their band, Black Forest, enabling him to jam out and perform with some of his best friends. He embodied each role he was cast: LeFou in “Beauty & the Beast”; Protean in “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”; Melchior Gabor in “Springs Awakening”; Andre in “The Father”; Edna Turnblad in “Hairspray”; Michael in “Two Rooms” and Emmett in “Legally Blonde”.

Andrew touched the lives of so many; our beloved, shining, happy young man, the light of our lives and the star of our hearts and leaves us smiling through our tears. He was joy personified. Please keep Andrew’s love of theatre, music and laughter; and be kind to one another always.
