Obituary: Patricia Ann Jurkash

Patricia Ann Jurkash, (née Brown) age 83, of Downers Grove, and Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Chicago's East Side neighborhood, passed away at her home on Nov. 9. Beloved daughter of the late Regina and Michael Brown. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Michael (Ret'd CFD); sons Michael, Steven (Carole) and Matthew; daughter Mary Carol Berick (Daniel) and five grandchildren: James, Michael, Steven, Elizabeth and Jane, who each brought much joy to their Grandma Pat's life.

Jurkash is also survived by her sister Jane Kukulski (late Donald) of Downers Grove, and her brother Michael Brown (Terry) of Kentland, Indiana. Also survived by her sister-in-law Mary (late Romeo) Buoscio of Whiting, Indiana, and Elizabeth Gotovac (late James) of Anaheim, California, and brother-in-law Peter (late Helen) of Willowbrook. Predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law: John and Dorothy Jurkash, and Anne and Bob Czaszewicz.

Loving Aunt of many of nieces and nephews. We will miss her smiling Irish eyes, her genuine smile, and her keen sense of humor.

Visitation Saturday, Nov. 17, from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 8404 Cass Ave., Darien. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church or the Society of the Little Flower, 1313 Frontage Road, Darien.
