Some Darien Parking Restrictions Lifted For Holidays
Darien police will ease up on some parking restrictions effective Dec. 23 through Jan. 2.

DARIEN, IL — Darien residents will get a break on parking restrictions this holiday season. The city recently announced it will suspend its overnight parking ban starting Saturday, Dec. 23, through Tuesday, Jan. 2.
According to a post on the City of Darien's Twitter account, "parking will be allowed on Darien streets from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m." during the above dates. All other parking restrictions will still be enforced.
Additionally, no parking will be allowed on streets if a winter storm leaves an accumulation of an inch or more of ice. Stay tuned to the forecast on Patch because there may be snow in Illinois this Christmas!
