Tornado Watch Issued for DuPage, Cook Counties

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for the Chicago area Monday night, following intense thunderstorms that brought heavy rain, lightning, hail and high winds to the area this morning.

The watch includes DuPage, Cook, Boone, DeKalb, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, La Salle, Lake, Livingston, McHenry and Will counties in Illinois, as well as Jasper, Lake, Newton and Porter counties in Indiana.

Another round of strong to severe storms could hit the area around 8 p.m., ABC7 reports. The watch is set to end at 11 p.m.
