Upcoming Virtual and Outdoor Programs at Indian Prairie Library
Women's History, College Success, and Storytime Programs Available.

The library has programs for youth from birth to teens available on the programming calendar. Most of the programs are virtual; however, there is an outdoor program for March. See a sneak peek below.
African American History Month: Strong Words, My Words

Grades 2-6
Uncover interesting facts about notable African Americans while learning tips and tricks to build internet investigation skills. Kids will build their civic and social-emotional skills by sharing their thoughts on quotes by famous (and not so famous) African Americans. Mid-Kids also will improve their written communication skills by designing a poster with a quote that is important to them. This is a program is part of the Ignite Change series.

Learn and practice basic yoga positions to bring picture books to life.
Thursday, Mar. 18, 4 p.m.
Grades 1-3
Participants will use research skills to uncover many amazing and wonderful achievements from women throughout history. They also will share the story of the amazing women in their own life and family.
Saturday, Mar. 27, 11 a.m.
Grades 7-12
Take time to relax and reset. This program discusses what mindfulness is, the benefits, and mindfulness techniques.
Wednesday, Mar. 31, 4 p.m.
Grades 2-6
Welcome spring by painting a mini-birdhouse to keep. This is an outdoor program. Masks and social distancing requirements will be followed.
