A Virtual Devotional for the National Day of Prayer
Learn how to forgive yourself and others to experience true freedom.
In commemoration of the National Day of Prayer on May 6, St. John Lutheran Church at 7214 South Cass Avenue in Darien, IL is sharing a Scripture and prayer-based video devotional entitled Freedom Through Forgiveness--A Liberating Prayer Journey. Its purpose is to help you come to a deeper understanding of the freedom that forgiving others brings to you; of God's great love and His desire for you; and to know why we forgive and how to forgive.
Our hope is that you will use this time to hit the pause button on your busy life and spend time in the presence of our Heavenly Father to improve your relationship with God and others. If you struggle with forgiving someone or yourself, if you still carry burdens from your past, or if you have not spoken to someone for years, Pastor Rod Serbus and the Board of Elders pray that you embark on this prayer journey and that it blesses you and all for whom you pray.
