Walmart Pickpocketing, Warrant: Darien Cops

Man says a wallet was removed from his jacket pocket at store, police say.

DARIEN, IL — The Darien Police Department released its latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

Pickpocketing

  • A person at Walmart, 2189 75th Street, told police that someone between 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Feb 24 removed a wallet from a jacket pocket. The loss was estimated at $110.

Warrant

  • Maximillian Pimental, 18, of Darien, was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Feb. 26 in the 1200 block of Plainfield Road on a Darien Police Department warrant and on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana by a passenger and possession of open alcohol by a passenger. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Driving violations

  • Michael Fornero, 21, of Lemont, was cited about 4:30 p.m. Feb. 22 in the 7100 block of Cass Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license and driving while using a phone. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Marco Gutierrez, 34, of Woodridge, was cited about 8 a.m. Feb. 23 at Lemont Road and 83rd Street on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and expired registration. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Cristal Torres, 24, of Downers Grove, was cited about 5 a.m. Feb. 26 in the 7900 block of Cass Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured vehicle and speeding. According to a police report, she was speeding 61 mph in a 40 mph zone. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Gerda Zastyte, 19, of Lemont, was cited about 4:30 a.m. Saturday in the 7900 block of Lemont Road on charges of underage consumption of alcohol and speeding. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Citlali Martinez Ortiz, 39, of Woodridge, was cited about 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Plainfield Road on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving while using a phone, failure to notify the secretary of state of an address change on her driver's license and failure to notify the secretary of state of an address change on her vehicle registration. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Cheyla Webb, 22, of Chicago, was cited at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 6900 block of Cass Avenue on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver and speeding. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
