2. Couple Robbed at Gunpoint at Darien Gas Station
The car used in the robbery was stolen from Darien, and police believe it may have been used in other armed robberies in the area, according to Darien police.
3. Colin Farrell Shares Son's Story at Local Angelman Syndrome Benefit
Farrell’s 8-year-old son, James, was born with Angelman syndrome (AS). Among other challenges, children with the rare disorder can’t speak and experience some motor difficulties. They are also prone to debilitating seizures.
4. Two Drivers Killed on New Year's Day in Darien Car Crash
One car was westbound on Plainfield Road, and the other car was eastbound when the crash took place. Both drivers had to be extricated from their cars.
5. Darien Home Burglarized After Solicitors Ask About Roof
Around 4 p.m., two men knocked on the front door of a house and told a babysitter that the home needed a new roof, according to the City of Darien.
You might be edged out of going to school, or back to school. Financial aid will ask if you’ve got convictions.
7. Darien Police Investigate Two Home Burglaries
No one was in the home at the time of the burglary. Several cell phones, jewelry and electronics were reported stolen.
