When Is New Darien Dunkin' Donuts Opening?
An issue with ComEd lasted nearly four weeks, an official says.
DARIEN, IL — Darien residents have been asking when the building that is set to contain Dunkin' Donuts will be completed.
They got a reply at Monday's virtual City Council meeting.
"I'm hoping that by the end of the month or mid-February, we'll see Dunkin' Donuts opening," Dan Gombac, the city's municipal services director, said.

The building in question is on the northwest corner of Cass Avenue and Plainfield Road, which is seen as Darien's main intersection. The structure is also expected to include Padrino's Pizza.
The new building is next to Brookhaven Plaza, where a current Dunkin' Donuts franchise is set to move into the new space.
Last year, the city approved a $150,000 incentive for the developer, John Manos, to upgrade the architecture because of the building's high-profile location. He also owns Brookhaven Plaza.
