Decatur Man Accused Of Raping Girls Ages 8, 9: Police
Police reported the young girls described the sexual assault as events that happened 'repeatedly.'

DECATUR, IL — A Decatur man is facing felony sexual assault charges after two young girls reported to police they were repeatedly molested and raped. Herald and Review reported that according to a sworn Decatur police affidavit, the girls, ages 8 and 9, were abused together during a series of attacks that continued until a week before the 18-year-old man's Friday morning arrest.
According to Herald and Review, police described the two girls as best friends, saying in the affidavit the pair would spend time at each other's homes.
The news report added that according to the affidavit, Decatur Police Detective Eric Matthews said the 8-year-old's mother discovered what was going on when she found "disturbing Facebook Messenger" conversations.

Herald & Review reported the man is described in the police affidavit as admitting sexual abuse took place, including rape, and he was booked on preliminary charges of predatory criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He remains in Macon County Jail on $500,000 bond, according to the news report.
