Decatur Police Investigating Infant's Death
Officials say an autopsy is scheduled for later Friday on a 2-month-old who died in the early morning hours.
DECATUR, IL — The Decatur Police Department is investigating the death of 2-month-old baby they say happened early Friday morning. Herald & Review reported Michael Day, Macon County Coroner, confirmed the ongoing investigation and an autopsy scheduled for later Friday, adding that the infant died at a family home.
Decatur Police Sergeant David Pruitt said the investigation was in the early stages as of 8:45 a.m.
