Bannockburn Mansion Hits Market Asking For $3.5 Million

The home underwent $1 million worth of recent upgrades before hitting the market Friday, according to its listing.

Built less than 15 years ago, this home was recently updated by a Chicago-based interior design firm with more than $1 million in recent upgrades, according to its listing.

The 8,250-square-foot, six-bedroom custom home includes refinished hardwood floors and an updated master bath with a bathtub equipped with "chromatherapy" elements and a heated backrest.

There is an attached, heated four-car garage. Horses are allowed on the property. The Telegraph Road home offers "privacy and security" along with top-quality school districts, according to its listing.

The property was last sold in 2015 for $2.35 million, according to the Lake County assessor's office. In 2018, assessed market value of the property was $2.18 million, and its annual tax bill was more than $50,000 in 2016, the most recent year available.

The most expensive home to sell in the village in the past six months has been a 10,500-square-foot six-bedroom on Sunset Lane which sold for $1.39 million in April. Listed last year for almost $2.5 million, the asking price dropped below the $2 million mark in early 2019 and sold a few months later.
