Deerfield 9U Red Explodes to Take Championship at HP Firecrakcer
Finishes Season Strong with an Overall Record of 22-14

The Deerfield 9U Red Boys travel baseball team capped off its season with a championship in the Highland Park Firecracker tournament held from July 5th-8th. The team outscored its opponents 73-4 overall, while recording 2 shutouts in 5 games.
After beginning their season 0-8, the team won 22 of their final 28 games to finish with an overall record of 22-14. In addition to their tournament title in Highland Park, the Warriors took 2nd place in the Deerfield Wooden Bat Tournament and played into the semi-finals in two other tournaments. One very memorable season highlight occurred in the Five Diamonds Hitters Baseball Academy Tournament in Milwaukee, where the squad executed a miraculous game-ending triple play against the powerful Milwaukee Stiks. The team consisted of pitchers Chase Golding, Drew Weinstein, Stone Bielawa, and Alex Chan, infielders Sam Nagler, Jorey Becker, and Ethan Moan, outfielders Chace Cochran, Ben Weinstein, and Zach Razzoog, and catcher Alex Edgar. The Warriors were coached by Paul Chanan, Jordan Feinberg, and Danny Weinstein, and were assisted by Emily Nagler, Brandon Nagler, and Marec Edgar.
