Deerfield Obituary: Matthew Paul McKenna, 21

Matthew Paul McKenna, 21, of Deerfield, passed away September 28, 2014.

Matthew was a son, brother, step-son, step-brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, student, roommate, scout counselor and friend. Most of all he was our Matthew.

Matthew loved so many things and so many people. Too many in fact to list here, but what Matthew really loved and was working to become was an engineer. Matthew will always be our engineer.

We will forever carry him in our hearts and he will never be forgotten.

Beloved son of Nancy Michael and Michael McKenna; loving step-son of Kim Parson; cherished brother of Christopher Daniel and Francis Andrew McKenna; adored step-brother of Cassidy Mae and Savanna Lynn Jackson; and treasured grandson of Dolores and Robert Michael, Diane and Robert McKenna, and Nan and Chris Parson.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 3-6 pm at Graue Mill, 3800 York Rd., Oakbrook, IL. Family and friends are invited to bring pictures of Matthew to add to our display on Saturday, October 4th. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 9 am until time of memorial mass 10 am at St. Patrick Church, 200 Illinois St., Lemont, IL.
