Deerfield Public Library Will Reopen To The Public on March 1
The Deerfield Public Library reopens for in-person browsing and computer use by appointment.

The Deerfield Public Library building will reopen to the public for limited hours beginning Monday, March 1.
The Library, which closed to the public in November, will resume in-person browsing and computer use by appointment. Self-service printing, scanning, and faxing will also be available by appointment. Curbside pickup of materials, which has been in place since June, will continue as a service.
The Library building will be open Monday-Friday, 2:00-6:00 p.m.; and Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Curbside pickup will be available Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Staff support remains available Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; and Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

“We are so pleased to open our doors again, and to bring back the cherished shelf browsing experience,” said Library Director Amy Falasz-Peterson. “We also know that the return of by-appointment access to our computers and other technology will be welcomed by the community. A reminder to all, that a mask is required for everyone over the age of two. The health and safety of our staff and patrons is of utmost importance.”

- Limit of 30 patrons in the building at one time.
- Visits limited to under 60 minutes
- Maintenance of a 6-ft. distance between library visitors and staff.
- Request that if patrons are experiencing any symptoms, to stay home and use the Library’s telephone, online chat or email services.
All seating has been removed to encourage quick visits. For health safety, all toys and games have been removed from the Youth Services department. It is encouraged to have just one adult per household visit the building, and if you have children with you, to keep them with you at all times.
MakerSpace services continue to be available for remote and virtual use, which includes curbside pickup of completed projects.
