District 109 will join schools across the country to celebrate National Walk/Bike to School Day on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
District officials encourage students and their families to participate in any way they can, whether it’s a long hike or short stroll. The goal is simply to bring together the community with a focus on being active, reducing traffic, and enjoying time together. In the process, some families may find new, safe ways to get to school.
