DUI Arrests Made Near Lake Cook, Portwine Roads: Blotter

RIVERWOODS, IL — The following information comes from the Riverwoods Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police.   • Nicholas R. Vergil, 25, of the 900 block of Webster Lane, Des Plaines, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, and was arrested at 1:47 a.m. Jan. 17 near Lake Cook and Portwine roads. He was released on a $3,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 17.
  • Isaiah Pedro Romero, 21, of the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue, Fox River Gorge, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, improper lane usage, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, open transportation of liquor, driving while license suspended, and was arrested at 4:10 a.m. Feb. 28 near Lake Cook and Portwine roads. He was released on a $3,000 bond and assigned a court date of April 14 in Waukegan.
  • Georgi Kirilov Evlogiev, 35, of the 9500 block of Kelvin Lane, Schiller Park, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol speeding, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 2:20 a.m. March 7 near Lake Cook and Portwine roads. He was released on a $3,000 bond and was assigned a court date of March 24 in Waukegan.
