Evanston man hit by gunfire on Simpson

A 23-year-old Evanston man was treated and released from Evanston Hospital after suffering a gunshot would while riding in a vehicle Sunday in the 1600 block of Simpson Street, according to a report on Evanston Now.

Police said they found shell casings on the street and an SUV with a flat tire caused by a bullet, according to Evanston Now. Police also said they found a man in the 1700 block of Payne Street who they initially believed had a gunshot wound.
