Here Are 2019's Most Expensive Home Sales In The Deerfield Area
In Deerfield, Bannockburn and Riverwoods, 312 homes worth more than $176 million changed hands in 2019.

DEERFIELD, IL — According to data from local realtors, almost 250 homes worth more than $127 million combined were sold in Deerfield in 2019, 17 Bannockburn homebuyers spent more than $16.3 million, and 49 Riverwoods homes changed hands for a total of $33.4 million worth of transactions.
The 60015 zip code's most expensive 2019 home sale was a six-bedroom brick home built in 2004 on about 5.5 acres on Telegraph Road in Bannockburn. The property was first listed in June 2018 with an asking price of $3.5 million. The sale closed in May 2019 for $2.95 million.

The mean average 2019 home sale in Bannockburn was nearly $960,000, according to data provided by the North Shore Barrington Association of Realtors.
In December 2019, the median list price was $547,000 and the median sale price was nearly $396,000 — down from $475,000 in December, according to data from Realtor.com, which considers it a seller's market.

In Deerfield, the most expensive residential real estate purchase of the year was the $1.45 million sale of a five-bedroom, 5,187-square-foot home on Windcrest Road.
It was built in 2011 on more than 0.4 acres, last sold for $1.5 million in July 2017 and first listed in March 2019 with an asking price of almost $1.6 million, according to its listing.
The median list price of homes is Deerfield was $539,000 in December 2019, and the median sale price was about $396,000, according to Realtor.com data. A year ago, the median list price was nearly $550,000 and the median price of homes sold was $473,000. Homes sold after an average of 83 days on the market, and Realtor.com classifies it as a balanced market, with a balanced supply and demand for homes.
According to data provided by the North Shore Barrington Association of Realtors, the median sales price of Deerfield homes rose by more than 2.8 percent last year, climbing from $503,750 to $518,000.
Riverwoods' priciest home sale of the year was the $1.4 million purchase of a home on Woodland Court. The six-bedroom, 4,700-square-foot ranch was built in 2004 and was last sold in March 2017 for $1.5 million.

First listed in March 2019 with an asking price of $1.6 million, the house was awarded a "Home Builders Excellence in Design Gold Key Award," according to its listing.
In Riverwoods overall, the median list price in December 2019 was $548,000, and the median sales price was $548,000 and the median sale price was about $396,000, according to Realtor.com data, compared to a December 2018 median of $475,000.
But the median sales price in Riverwoods declined in 2019, according to data from the local realtors association, falling by about 4.7 percent to $610,000 from $640,000 a year earlier. However, houses on the market sold more than two weeks quicker.
In Lincolnshire, 80 residential properties were sold in 2019, with the most expensive — a vacant 5-acre parcel — changing hands for $2.53 million in November.
