Lane Closures On Waukegan Road, Greenwood Avenue In Deerfield
Closures are planned between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, according to village officials.

DEERFIELD, IL — Sewer lining operations will shut down both southbound lanes on Waukegan Road in Deerfield during the day Wednesday, village officials announced. Drivers will be directed into the northbound lanes near the intersection with Greenwood Avenue with traffic reduced to one lane in both directions.
Meanwhile, Greenwood will be closed completely to through traffic between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The closures affect an area of approximately 1 kilometer on Waukegan in order to allow for 442 feet of sanitary sewer lining, village officials said.

Traffic will be detoured via Hazel and Chestnut avenues during the lane closures. Village officials said they have already contacted all Greenwood Avenue residents affected by the closures, and anyone with questions or concerns about the project to was asked to contact the public works department at 847-317-7245.
