UPDATED Local Election Results: Deerfield Village Trustees
Unofficial results from the Lake and Cook county clerks' offices project the Caucus Party of Deerfield 2015 as having the majority vote.

The Caucus Party of Deerfield 2015, comprised of incumbent trustee Bill Seiden, incumbent trustee Thomas Jester and plan commission chairman Dan Shapiro have been elected to the Deerfield Village Board, according to unofficial results from the Lake and Cook county clerks’ offices.
The vote totals are as follows:
- Bill Seiden 1,468
- Dan Shapiro 1,241
- Thomas Jester 1,107
Incumbent trustee Bob Benton, who ran independently, received 1,099 votes, according to unofficial results.

The four candidates sought three open seats on the Deerfield Village Board in Tuesday’s election. Voter apathy, vacant retail space at the Deerbrook Shopping Center and economic development issues have all been at the forefront of this race, according to the Deerfield Review.
Seiden, who began his first term in April 1999, is a former chief financial officer of a large manufacturing and service organization. He is married with three grown children.

Shapiro, who is plan commission chairman, is an attorney practicing in the areas of land use, zoning, governmental relations, municipal law and civil litigation.
Jester, who began his first term in April 2011, is a former consulting engineer and retired registered engineer. He is married with three grown children and has been a resident for 39 years.
