Residents Would Be Most Sad If AMC Theatres Closed: Survey
Readers responded to our most recent poll about which national chain they would be most sad to see close due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
ILLINOIS — Not a day goes by where we don't hear about another business — whether local or national — closing its doors for good due to the coronavirus pandemic. We asked readers to fill out our short survey about which well-known business would upset them the most if it no longer existed. Thanks to all who participated.
In the end, according to 269 participants across our Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Deerfield, Glenview and Northbrook Patch websites, AMC Theatres (27.5 percent, 74 votes) narrowly beat out Bed Bath & Beyond (27.1 percent, 73 votes) as the chain they would be most sad to see go out of business due to the coronavirus. Rounding out the rest in order were: Nordstrom's (15.2 percent, 41 votes), Starbucks (12.6 percent, 34 votes), J.C. Penny (10.4 percent, 28 votes), Chuck E. Cheese (3.3 percent, 9 votes), Dave & Busters (1.5 percent, 4 votes), Victoria's Secret (1.1 percent, 3 votes) and StubHub (1.1 percent, 3 votes).
