Sexual Assault, Harassment Warrants Lead To Arrest: Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Jose Villegas Atempa, 28, of the 3200 block of Lebanon Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Jan. 25 at Sheridan and Wadsworth roads, Beach Park. His bond was set at $3,000 and he was assigned a court date of April 28.
• Carlton L. Montgomery, 34, of the 1700 block of Glenn Drive, North Chicago, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license revoked, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Jan. 26 at Route 59 and Route 173, Antioch. His bond was set at $10,000 and he was assigned a court date of March 22.
• Eileen M. Rattin, 52, of the 800 block of Hawthorne Lane, Libertyville, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, was arrested Jan. 27 in the Libertyville. Her bond was set at $3,000 and she was assigned a court date of Feb. 17.
• Clatashia L. Jemine, 22, of the 2700 block of Eschol Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, attempting to flee/elude, driving while license suspended, no insurance, and was arrested Jan. 27 at Sheridan Road and Gillet Avenue, Waukegan. Bond was set at $3,000 and Jemine was assigned a court date of March 17.
• Daniel C. Shepard, 22, of the 800 block of Sheridan Road, Winthrop Harbor, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Jan. 28 at Hunt Club and Wadsworth roads, Old Mill Creek. His bond was set at $3,000 and he was assigned a court date of Feb. 10.
• Jack T. Wagner, 53, of the 200 block of E Camden Lane, Round Lake Beach, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Jan. 29 at Grand Avenue and Brookside Drive, Gurnee. His bond was set at $3,000 and he was assigned a court date of March 10.
• Ricardo Magallanes, 42, of the 3200 block of Gilead Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated speeding (80MPH in a 45 MPH zone), and was arrested Jan. 29 at Wadsworth Road and Lewis Avenue, Beach Park. His bond was set at $3,000 and he was assigned a court date of Feb. 24.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

Michael J. Tangney, Jr., 29, of the 28200 block of W Stewart Avenue, Unincorporated Spring Grove, is accused of having a warrant for sexual assault out of Buffalo County, Wisconsin, a warrant for harassment out of Lake County, and was arrested on Jan. 25 in Spring Grove. His bond was set at $1 million and was assigned a court date of Feb. 8.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Tyorne Smith, 57, no permanent address, is accused of disorderly conduct, and was arrested Jan. 25 in the 19500 block of W Sunny Court, Unincorporated Mundelein. His bond was set at $20,000 and was assigned a court date of Feb. 5.

BURGLARY

Mischawn D. Billups, 26, of the 1500 block of W Crystal Rock Court, Round Lake, is accused of having a warrant for burglary out of Kenosha County, Wisconsin, and was arrested Jan. 27 at Sheridan and Beach roads, Beach Park. Bond was set at $500,000 and Billups was assigned a court date of Feb. 3.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A MOTOR VEHICLE

Destiny Geneva, 21, of the 0-100 block of Prairie View Court, North Chicago, is accused of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle, and was arrested Jan. 27 at Sheridan and Beach roads, Beach Park. Her bond was set at $20,000 and she was assigned a court date of Feb. 8.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED

• Brandon D. Williams, 32, of the 12700 block of Wakefield Drive, Beach Park, is accused of driving while license suspended, and was arrested Jan. 28 at Wadsworth and Green Bay roads, Beach Park. Bond was set at $1,500.
• Carlos A. Ferral Ronces, 29, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, is accused of driving while license suspended, no insurance, and was arrested Jan. 28 at Reiner Street and Green Bay Road, Beach Park. Bond was set at $2,000.
• Dale L. Smith, 53, of the 800 block of March Street, Lake Zurich, is accused of having a warrant for aggravated driving while license revoked, aggravated fleeing/eluding, and was arrested Jan. 28 in the Lake Zurich. His bond was set at $500,000 and he was assigned a court date of Feb. 3.
• Lee E. Hernandez, 35, of the 38100 block of N Cornell Street, Beach Park, is accused of having a warrant for driving while license suspended, unlawful possession of meth, and was arrested Jan. 31 in Beach Park. His bond was set at $20,000 and he was assigned a court date of March. 4.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METH

Nicholas Begrowicz, 57, of the 2300 block of N Old Hicks Road, Palatine, is accused of having a warrant for unlawful possession of meth, and was arrested Jan. 28 in the Palatine. His bond was set at $20,000 and he was assigned a court date of Feb. 3.

THEFT

Matthew J. Samuels, 30, of the 300 block of E Normal Lane, Wheeling, is accused of having a warrant for theft, and was arrested Jan. 30 in the 800 block of S Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville. His bond was set at $500,000 and he was assigned a court date of Feb. 4.

FRAUD

Vincent G. Chadwick, 56, of the 1600 block of Partridge Street, Waukegan, is accused of having a warrant for fraud out of Cook County, and was arrested Jan. 31 at Lewis Avenue and Niva Court, Waukegan. He was transported to Cook County and a court date was to be determined at the time of this report.
