DEERFIELD, IL — Crews worked to fix two water main breaks Thursday afternoon in Deerfield. At around noon, the Village of Deerfield said on social media the water main breaks happened on Lake-Cook Road just east of Pfingsten Road, impacting water service to buildings on the north side of Lake Cook Road.

Westbound traffic was reduced to one lane on Lake Cook Road to accommodate repairs. Later Thursday, the Village said water is back on and one of the closed lanes has reopened. One lane will stay closed through the weekend until repairs can be made.
