Woman Sues Whitehall of Deerfield Nursing Home, Alleges Negligence

The Whitehall of Deerfield Healthcare Center is being sued by a Cook County woman who claims the medical staff’s negligence caused her to develop Stage IV decubitus ulcers on her buttocks and lower back.

The Cook County Record reports Helen Grilli filed a lawsuit Aug. 14 in the Cook County Circuit Court.

Grilli’s suit alleges the healthcare center, located at 300 Waukegan Road, Deerfield, and its staff practiced careless judgment while caring for her from Nov. 20, 2013, to Feb. 4, 2014, causing her to develop the ulcers which ultimately led to additional nursing care, treatment and hospitalization.
