Chip DeLorenzo got another great shot this week of a Naperville Little League player making an incredible catch in left field. The game was played at Centennial Beach.

Meggan Sommerville took this photo of three sandhill cranes hunting for an evening meal in a small patch of wetland in Montgomery. She said, "It's great to see more and more sandhills visiting the Greater Fox Valley area."

Brian Schuneman, of Evanston, saw this hawk in his neighbor's yard, potentially looking for a meal. He said, "The rest of the birds in the area squawked at him, ganged up on him and dive bombed him until he left the area."
