Attend Oakton’s upcoming career training information sessions

Get on the fast track to a new career in a high growth industry by attending accelerated career training information sessions offered by Oakton Community College’s Continuing Education, Training and Workforce Development.

Upcoming sessions in August and September include:

• EKG Technician Certification Prep (CET Certification), 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20.
• Personal Trainer Fitness Certification, 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26.
• Real Estate Pre-License Broker, 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10.

Opportunities are also available for health care online career training programs.

These information sessions will explain options and training programs that are designed to help participants earn an industry credential or develop an in-demand skill. In addition, attendees can learn about career pathways, potential job opportunities and potential financial aid.

“Industry-recognized credentials are increasingly in demand,” says Jesse Ivory, senior manager for business and community programs at Oakton. “We’re very excited to be offering accelerated training opportunities that prepare individuals to earn credentials that lead to great jobs.”
