A Des Plaines native is now a Major League Baseball player, the Journal & Topics reports.
Maine West graduate Ryan Tuntland was drafted by the San Francisco Giants this week. He was the draft’s 882nd pick, the newspaper reports. Tuntland, a third baseman, attended Oakton Community College before transferring to West Virginia.
