During an interview Ahmed said, "I have volunteered and served the community for over 20 years in several areas in the Chicago area. I have led a life of service to my Town and community. If I Elected, I will bring my experience and the best skills to the Congress, including Foreign Policy, budgeting, planning and civic engagement."
Mr. Ahmed continued, we need to build into the "Infrastructure, Better schools for education focusing on supporting Medicare for all. Our campaign is challenging that. We are standing up for regular people and we need their support, not the political elite.
Ahmed mentioned his middle-class roots, putting himself through starting his education from City College of Chicago, went to DePaul University, and was fortunate to get a job as a software developer. Later, I established my own company and got my MBA from University of Chicago. My career has been quite a learning experience. I have felt the pains of dealing with student loans, paying high monthly insurance premiums and yet having to pay tens of thousands of dollars in copay for my son’s treatment. That is why we must now unite in the agreement that universal higher education is also beneficial to our whole society. We must make it free and available to all.”
Ahmed further continued that we do not need to be part of the machinery to represent people. Any average American representative of their community should be able to represent us in Congress.
