A local veterinarian has received an important recognition for her efforts to reach for professional excellence in caring for animals.

ISVMA, which represents more than 2,500 veterinarians, Certified Veterinary Technicians and veterinary and CVT students on public policy issues affecting the industry, has offered the program to help veterinarians extend beyond the required 40 hours of continuing education in their field over a two-year period.

Dr. Dornhoff is a graduate of the acclaimed veterinary school at the University of Illinois and has worked with a variety of animals in nearly 20 years at Country Court Animal Hospital. She is especially interested in animal behavior and preventing and managing chronic and severe pain.
