New Landscaping, Sidewalks Installed on North Miner Street

The city of Des Plaines is working on a beautification project for downtown, the Journal & Topics reports.

Crews are working on installing a brick-paved sidewalk, new landscaping and an underground irrigation system between city hall and Pearson Street. A new brick sidewalk and other improvements were recently made to the south side of Miner Street between Graceland and Pearson. The project is expected to be completed in September, according to the newspaper.
