Noted painter Jave Yoshimoto, whose works has been exhibited in galleries and museums across the country, will discuss his unique art techniques 1:30-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines, in Room 1625. The Visiting Artist Series event, “Tales of Survival: Art on Disaster and Refugees,” is free and open to the public.
“Jave believes in producing art works that are socially conscious,” Oakton Chair of Art and Design Lou Pierozzi says. “The Visiting Artist Series exposes students and the public to a range of artistic approaches and cultivates discussion about contemporary art and ideas.”
