Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar visited Chicago

On Thursday, May 27, 2021, a grand event was held in Oak Brook, Illinois. Pakistani State Punjab, Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar came to Chicago and meet with Community leaders and Businessman. Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar is the current and 33rd Governor of Punjab. During his visit he had met with US Officials Numerous meetings and conferences were held in his honor. The largest meeting was held at the residence of Dr. Sameer Shafi. Dr. Sameer Shafi is the founder of the Foundation for Infection Prevention and Control. His organization, Sarwar Foundation, along with other social organizations for the prevention of infection and control in Pakistan and Pakistan. His Organization is helping other countries also. The master of the event was Ms. Shiza Shafi. The program began with a recitation from the Quran. The Program began with the national anthems (American and Pakistani) by Ms. Shiza Shafi and Shah Noor Shafi singing the national anthem of the United States. The Pakistani anthem was sung by all in attendance. Dr. Sameer Shafi welcomed the special guest and community members. Dr. Sameer Shafi highlighted the Foundation for Infection Prevention and Control in his organization.

Subsequently, several community leaders, including Dr. Murtaza Arain, Renown Journalist Mr. Rana Javed and eminent Businessman Mr. Munir Chaudhry spoke about the Sarwar Foundation and its work.

Mrs. Parveen Sarwar, the Chairperson of Sarwar Foundation came on the podium and shed light on Sarwar Foundation. During her speech, she said that every year, Hundreds of people are suffering from hepatitis and other infectious diseases due to drinking dirty water. We have planted Hundreds of clean water plants and also plants for a green Pakistan, we will continue to serve the people without any discrimination.

During her speech, she further said that children are suffering from various diseases due to drinking dirty water. Hundreds of clean water plants have been set up in Pakistan in collaboration with Sarwar Foundation, which is benefiting hundreds of families and students. Work on clean water supply projects across the province is in full swing.

Chief Guest Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar in his address said that he is very happy that this program has been organized by our sisters. I am meeting the US Senators, Members of Congress and Many states of the Governor. The Governor Punjab further said that a ceasefire is not enough. Israel must withdraw completely from Palestine and resolve the Palestinian issue; otherwise regional peace is not possible. He said that Pakistan stands with its Palestinian brothers and sisters. I discussed issues of mutual interest with US senators, members of Congress and governors, as well as issues of mutual interest in regional peace and stability. The US leaders reaffirmed their willingness to work together to maintain positive progress in bilateral relations and as an ideal partner to further strengthen the process of strategic dialogue as a people-oriented, broad-based and mutually beneficial relationship. He stressed the need to focus on strengthening people-to-people contacts to promote cooperation in the fields of trade and investment, energy, education, science and technology, and to realize the true potential of relationships.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi are raising the issue of Palestine at the international level. Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said, "During my visit to the United States, I also met with representatives of human rights organizations, members of parliament, politicians and Pakistanis abroad. They called on Prime Minister Imran Khan to work for peace in Pakistan. Appreciating the professional services of Dr. Sameer Shafi and assuring him of future cooperation. At the end of the program, Dr. Sameer Shafi once again took some time out of his precious time for all the guests. Thank you for attending the feast.
