Transportation Expert Jeffrey Mysliwiec Joins CBBEL

Professional Engineer brings 30 years of experience working at IDOT

Rosemont, Ill. (July 21, 2020) – Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. (CBBEL) is announcing the hiring of Jeffrey Mysliwiec, PE as Senior Construction Engineer.

At CBBEL, Mysliwiec will be responsible for various construction engineering projects and will focus on project management, construction inspection, field engineering, project engineering redesign and project coordination.

“With Jeff’s expertise in construction engineering, design and supervision of federally funded contracts, he’s a great addition to our CBBEL team,” said Dan Crosson, PE, CBBEL Executive Vice President in charge of the construction department. “His significant experience in the public sector will benefit CBBEL in areas ranging from project management to training and mentoring younger staff.”

“After a long career in the public sector, I’m thrilled to be joining CBBEL and am looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities that this move brings,” said Mysliwiec.

Mysliwiec spent 30 years working at the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), where he served in various roles, most recently as the Local Agency Area Engineer for Kane, DuPage and Northern Cook Counties. During his three decades at IDOT, Mysliwiec oversaw million-dollar roadway improvement projects.

A member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Mysliwiec graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and started at IDOT that same year.
