Willows Academy Receives OxyPure for Safer in-Person Learning

Willows Academy, an all-girls private school in Des Plaines, IL, has been selected to receive air purifiers that will remove coronavirus to keep students and faculty safe through the COVID-19 pandemic.

The school was awarded the units through Vernon Hills-based NuWave, LLC’s OxyPure Smart Air Purifier School Donation program – an initiative to help maintain indoor air quality as in-person learning resumes.

The Willows Academy has been open for in-person learning since August 2020 and strives to educate girls and young women in grades six through 12.

In November, NuWave, LLC, makers of the NuWave Oven and other household appliances, announced the donation of 100 of its OxyPure Air Purifiers to schools throughout the country.

In a recent independent third-party study, the University of Minnesota found that the NuWave OxyPure Smart Air Purifier is calculated to remove 99.999% of airborne porcine respiratory coronavirus in areas up to 1,200 square feet in 6 hours.
