Youm-e-Ali observed with religious enthusiasm in Chicago

Youm-e -Ali (AS) was observed on Sunday with religious fervor and reverence in the Chicago to pay tribute to the Fourth Caliph of Islam

The Youm-e -Ali (AS) was observed on Sunday May 2nd, 2021 with religious fervor and reverence in the Chicago to pay tribute to the Fourth Caliph of Islam on the day of his martyrdom. Hazrat Ali (A.S) is a great Rahbar who spent all his life serving the religion and defending Islam and did not bow down his head before the evil force.

Imam Ali, who was the cousin, companion and son-in-law of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Hundreds of Muslim devotees wearing masks gathered in United State of America city of Chicago for a religious procession on Sunday. Attendees who attend the processions were fully vaccinated and the number of participants this year was limited.

Commemorating Youm-e-Ali is a fundamental part of Muslim religion and faith during 19th to 21st Ramadan. Many devotees carried banners and play cards, recited Noha and raised slogans during the processions to express their devotion, respect and love for the Hazrat Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (AS).

Processions, also called Jaloos in Urdu language. Despite hot and humid weather more than 200 of Muslims devotees from several Islamic organizations took part in the procession which started from Devon and Leavitt intersection and ended with Warren Park, Western Avenue.

At the begin of the Procession Mr. Syed Muhammad Askari recited Salam. Ali Rizvi, Shahryar Rizvi, Mir Jon Ali, Subtagin Rizvi, Mir Salman Ali, Abeer Rizvi recited Noha.

During Majlis Azadari, Salman Anyat Ullah and Zarak Shah recited Salam. Karrar Haider and Kazim Haider recited Mercia Khwani. At the end of Majlis keynote Speaker Khateeb e Ahle Bait Jawad Rizvi performed a speech. He emphasized the importance of the martyrdom of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib. The life of Hazrat Ali (RA) exists as a practical example and enlightening commentary on the teachings of the Qur'an and the biography of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). The reason for this training is that the reign of Amir al-mu'minin was a successful reign despite many crises. He said that a unique aspect of the caste of Amir al-mu'minin is the implementation of justice. He also highlighted his bravery, integrity, beliefs, morals, honesty and devotion to the religion of Islam and Humanity.

At the end of Procession food (Tabbruk) served for all.
