The National Association of Realtors recently released it’s Existing Home Sales report for February 2014. Nationwide, it’s a seller’s market.

Let’s look more closely at Evanston, where it is also a seller’s market. The median sale price of detached homes continue to move upward.

And the time it takes for the homes that are on the market to go under contract is also decreasing.

These market conditions are making it more difficult for buyers to find a home that suits their needs. It’s a seller’s market. Many buyers are growing frustrated waiting for new listings to come on the market. Some are even giving up the search.
