Car Crashes Into Evanston Living Room After Hit-And-Run
A car came crashing through the front window of a home minutes after its residents left, fire officials said.

EVANSTON, IL — Authorities said a hit-and-run traffic crash Thursday sent a SUV careening into the living room of house in southeast Evanston moments just after its occupants left.
Shortly after 5 p.m., police and fire personnel were called to the intersection of Sheridan Road and Burnham Place, where a car had just struck a house.
Police said a silver or gray sedan was headed east and turning right when it collided with a northbound Honda as it turned left. The force of the crash caused the driver of the SUV to lose control, sending over a front yard driveway and through a picture window in the front of the home.
