Watch: Cha Cha Cha-ing at "It's Thursday, Let's Dance!"
Evanston residents enjoy live music and learn new moves at "It's Thursday, Let's Dance!," a free dance instruction every Thursday of the summer.
Evanston residents had a spring in their step as they followed the music to "It's Thursday, Let's Dance!" this Thursday night.
They danced the night away at "It's Thursday, Let's Dance!" at 909 Davis St. Plaza, the intersection of Maple Avenue and Church Street. They learned to cha cha cha and showed off their new moves while Shirley King and her band played Chicago blues and R&B.
"It's Thursday, Let's Dance!" will continue with free lessons on July 18, July 25 and August 1 at the Davis St. Plaza. Dance instruction begins at 6 p.m., with live music from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
