City Approves Tax Relief for Little Beans Cafe to Open at Asbury and Oakton
The Evanston City Council is supporting a request that would help offset the cost of developing the site.

Little Beans Café, a children’s play space that is opening in the old Osco store at Asbury and Oakton, got a boost from the Evanston City Council Monday night, which voted to support its request for $1.1 million in tax relief, according to an article in Evanston Now.
Alderman voted to support the business in the savings, which come from a county tax incentive program for businesses that need to significantly rehab their new space and wouldn’t be able to afford to without the tax break, the article explains.
Little Beans, which has a location in Chicago, plans to open this winter with two separate play areas for kids from babies to 12 years old, according to its Facebook page. It will also have a drive-thru coffee window.
