Crate and Barrel President Buys Home in Evanston

A high ranking executive at the furniture and home accessories giant is moving from Texas to Evanston.

EVANSTON, IL - The new president of Northbrook-based furniture giant Crate & Barrel likely won’t have trouble finding good deals on new items for his newly purchased home.

In Evanston.

Steve Woodard, who was recently hired as president of the company, and his wife, Terri recently paid $1.437 million for a newly built four-bedroom home in Evanston this month, according to Chicago Tribune Elite Street reports.

Woodward, who serves as president and chief merchant for the popular home accessories business, was hired last year and comes to Evanston from Texas, where he worked as vice president at Fossil, an accessories company.

Woodward’s Evanston abode was built by BKM Development last year and features hardwood floors, two fireplaces and custom glass facades.
