Evanston Considers Making Liquor Code More User-Friendly

Evanston City attorney has drafted a revised liquor code that consolidates the existing 32 classes of liquor licenses into 25.

 

The City of Evanston is consider making its liquor code more user-friendly by consolidating the existing 32 classes of liquor licenses into 25 classes and cutting down on antiquated language in the code, the Daily Northwestern reported. 

Evanston city attorney Grant Farrar has drafted a revised liquor code that moves the restaurant, grocery and wine store classes to the front of the code and combines rules on underage identification into one section, if passed, the revised code would take effect in January 2014, the Daily Northwestern reported.
