Evanston Home Designed by Purple Hotel Architect Sells

Seller lost $12,000 on home he owned for two years.

A four-bedroom home on Lincolnwood Drive sold recently for $663,000. It was designed by the same architect who drew up the infamous Purple Hotel in Lincolnwood.

Architect Robert Hausner designed the 1957-home with a two-story foyer and a live tree inside, according to Crain’s Chicago. The home has built-in shoji screens and wood ceilings.

Information obtained by the Cook County Recorder of Deeds identified the seller as Michael Milligan, who paid $675,000 for it just two years ago.
