Evanston Police Seek Help in Locating Vehicle Involved in Shooting

An investigation is underway for an aggravated battery/shooting that happened April 4 at Howard Street and Dodge Avenue.

The following press release is from the Evanston Police Department.

The Evanston Police Department is currently investigating the aggravated battery/shooting that occurred on Saturday, April 4 at approximately 3:51 a.m. at Howard Street and Dodge Avenue, where a 22-year-old male resident of Round Lake Beach and a 23-year-old male resident of Waukegan were shot after leaving a club in Chicago.

Surveillance video from the area where the shooting occurred as well as from the area in Chicago where the club is located have been obtained by detectives. A link to some of the video from the area where the shooting occurred can be viewed by clicking here.

The offending vehicle is a Gray or Silver newer model Lincoln SUV. Detectives have also learned in their investigation that there were witnesses in a separate vehicle at the location of the shooting that have not come forward since the incident occurred.

Anyone with information regarding this shooting is asked to call the Evanston Police Department at (847) 866-5000. Text-a-Tip can also be used by texting to CRIMES (274637) and placing EPDTIP in the message line with the anonymous information. Although the police department prefers in a case of this type that the information not be anonymous, anonymous tips are always accepted and can lead to further investigative information.
