Evanston-Skokie District 65 School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in District 65 is Aug. 28. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Evanston-Skokie School District 65 has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 9/21: No School (Rosh Hashanah)

October

• 10/4: Early Dismissal for Students (School Improvement Day)
• 10/16 - 10/20: Parent Teacher Conferences
• 10/20: No School for Students

November

• 11/1: Early Dismissal for Students (School Improvement Day)
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/6: Early Dismissal for Students (School Improvement Day)
• 12/25 - 1/5: No School (Winter Recess)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (Winter Recess)
• 1/8: Students Return
• 1/15: No School (MLK Day)
• 1/17: Early Dismissal for Students (School Improvement Day)
