Evanston Summer Camp Registration Reopens Saturday

With increased traffic expected, online registration for Evanston residents starts Feb. 17.

From the City of Evanston Parks and Recreation: Online summer camp registration for Evanston residents who live in zip codes 60201 and 60202 will reopen on Saturday, February 17 at 8 a.m. Please note: Online registration will NOT reopen on Wednesday, February 14.

The City is adding resources and conducting additional testing to ensure that the online registration system can accommodate the increased volume of traffic expected.

At least 25 percent of slots in each camp session have been reserved for online registration. In-person and phone registration will not be taken on February 17; however, phone support will be available from 8 a.m. to noon by calling 847-448-4311.

After the online registration period reopens on February 17, residents registering online will have the option of joining a waitlist if their desired camp(s) fill up. Online registration will remain open to residents after reopening on February 17.

On Monday, February 19, at 9 a.m., in-person registration will open to residents in zip codes 60201 and 60202 at all City recreation community centers and at the Parks, Recreation & Community Services office located in the Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., Room 1100. Residents may also register by phone at this time by contacting 3-1-1.

On Monday, February 26, at 10 a.m., online, in-person and phone registration will open to nonresidents.
All residents who successfully registered for camps on Saturday, February 10 should have received an email receipt. Those who were not able to register for their desired camp(s) will be contacted by Parks & Recreation staff prior to the online registration period reopening on February 17.

The City sincerely apologizes to all of those who experienced technical difficulties with the online registration system on February 10 and will work to ensure an improved camp registration process in the future.
