Evanston’s April Property Sales Highest in Two years

Evanston’s revenue from its 0.5 percent tax on property sales rose to $275,644 in April, the highest one-month total since July 2011, Evanston Now reported.

Last month, seven properties sold for more than $1 million in Evanston with the largest transaction involving the commercial building at 1633-35 Chicago Avenue, which was sold for $3.54 million to Chicago-Davis Development LLC, Evanston Now reported.
