Footman Hospitality Group is excited to announce that they will be expanding the Bangers & Lace brand, with the opening of a second location. Located in downtown Evanston, IL at 810 Grove Street, the 4,200-square-foot space will include their signature 32-tap rotating beer selection and an extensive spirits and wine list. Current Bangers & Lace Executive Chef Jesse Miller will run the kitchen.

Slated to open in early November 2014, Bangers & Lace Evanston will be a libations and food destination for both local residents and north shore community members alike. Miller is eager to begin evolving the new Bangers & Lace menu, which will include seasonally rotating menu items, and will have a similar feel to the existing Bangers & Lace menu of gourmet sausages, elevated appetizers, and delicious bar snacks. Chef Miller is also committed to making as much product in house as possible.

“Evanston has a ton of young professionals. It has a thriving family and neighborhood dynamic. It has a vibrant downtown and it’s craving more upscale quality concepts,” said Footman Hospitality partner, Jason Freiman. “That’s why we naturally gravitated toward Evanston as we look to expand our brand.”

The restaurant will have a similar aesthetic to the Bangers & Lace currently located in Wicker Park, but will be about 30 percent larger, seating 130 people. It will also include a 30-seat bar, as well as Bangers & Lace design staples like lace curtains on the windows, interesting taxidermy, and a long communal table.
