Film Crews Shoot TV Show 'Fargo' In Evanston
Set in 1950 Kansas City, the fourth season of the FX anthology started shooting in the Chicago area last fall.
EVANSTON, IL — Evanston played the role of 1950 Kansas City for several hours Thursday as crews from the FX television series "Fargo" filmed portions of the show's forthcoming season.
Filming was set to take place on Judson Avenue near Keeney Street in south Evanston from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and in downtown alleys near Davis and Grove streets from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to city staff.
Photos from the set posted to social media show about a dozen 1940s-era automobiles, including a Packard, Ford, Plymouth and more, parked on Judson Avenue for use in the show. Temporary parking restrictions were lifted by Thursday evening.

Every season of Fargo is set is in a new time period with a new cast. The fourth season of the anthology is the first time the comedy-drama has been set outside of Minnesota or North Dakota. It began production in Chicago in October and planned to shoot until March, according to a casting call.
According to a trailer, the latest season features Chris Rock as a mob boss who trades sons with the head of the local Italian mafia as part of truce between criminal syndicates. Other co-stars include Jason Schwartzman, Timothy Olyphant, Uzo Aduba and Karen Aldridge.

The fourth season of "Fargo" is scheduled to premiere April 19.
